Privacy Policy

This policy describes what actually happens on prospectnetwork.online. It is short because the site collects almost nothing, and it names nothing that does not happen here.

1. Who is responsible for your information

This website is published and operated by GERONTA SPOL s.r.o., which is the entity responsible for the personal information described in this policy — the controller, in the language of European data protection law, and the organisation you deal with under Australian privacy law.

This policy is written with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles in mind, because the site is written for readers in Australia. Section 11 covers the position under European and United Kingdom data protection law, which applies to us as a company established in the Czech Republic.

2. What this site collects

Through the website itself: nothing. There is no contact form, no newsletter, no account, no quiz, no download, no chat widget and no input field of any kind anywhere on this site. There is nothing for you to submit and nothing for us to store.

The site sets no cookies, and permits no third party to set cookies through it. It uses no analytics, no advertising tags, no conversion pixels, no social media embeds, no fingerprinting, and no browser storage of any kind — no localStorage, no sessionStorage, no IndexedDB. It loads no fonts, scripts, stylesheets or images from any external host; every file the site uses is served from this domain. The cookie policy covers this in more detail.

Two categories of information exist regardless, and we describe them because they are real:

Server logs. Our hosting provider records ordinary web server logs when a page is requested: the IP address of the request, the browser's user agent string, the address of the page requested, the referring address if the browser sends one, and the date and time. This happens at the server level and is a normal part of operating any website.
Correspondence. If you write to info@prospectnetwork.online, we receive your email address, whatever you put in the message, and the message metadata your own mail provider attaches. We only have this because you chose to send it.

We do not collect sensitive information as defined by the Privacy Act, we do not buy or receive personal information from third parties, and we do not build profiles of visitors. We are not told by any advertiser or advertising network who has visited this site or who has subscribed to anything after leaving it; the reporting we receive from our advertising partner is aggregate and contains no personal information.

3. Why each category is held, and on what basis

Server logs are kept so that the site can be operated securely and diagnosed when something breaks: identifying errors, blocking abusive traffic, and understanding whether the site is reachable. The basis for holding them is our legitimate interest in keeping a published website secure and functional. They are not used to identify individuals, they are not analysed for marketing, and they are not combined with anything else.

Correspondence is kept so that we can read your message, reply to it, and act on it — most often to correct a page. The basis is our legitimate interest in answering people who write to us, and, where you are asking us to do something, the steps necessary to respond to your request.

4. How long each category is kept

Server logs: retained for a maximum of 30 days and then deleted, unless a specific entry is needed longer for an active security investigation, in which case it is kept only until that matter is closed.
Correspondence: retained for a maximum of 24 months from the date of the last message in the exchange, then deleted. If you ask us to delete your correspondence earlier, we will do so unless we are required to keep it.

5. Who else sees it, and where it goes

We disclose personal information to two categories of service provider, and to nobody else:

Our hosting provider, which operates the servers this site runs on and generates the server logs described above.
Our email provider, which carries and stores messages sent to our address.

We do not sell personal information, we do not share it with advertisers, advertising networks or data brokers, and we do not disclose it for any marketing purpose. We would disclose information if we were legally required to, and we are not aware of any circumstance in which that has arisen.

Cross-border disclosure (Australian Privacy Principle 8). We are established in the Czech Republic and our service providers operate outside Australia. If you are in Australia, this means the information described in this policy — your IP address in a server log, and anything you put in an email to us — is disclosed to and stored by recipients located overseas, including in the European Union. By using the site or writing to us you should understand that your information is handled outside Australia and may be subject to the laws of those countries. We take reasonable steps to use providers that handle information in accordance with recognised data protection standards.

6. How it is protected

The site is served over HTTPS, so the connection between your browser and the server is encrypted. Access to the hosting account and the mailbox is limited to the people at GERONTA SPOL s.r.o. who need it, protected by strong, unique credentials and multi-factor authentication where the provider supports it. Because we collect so little, there is very little to protect: there is no customer database, no payment information and no list of subscribers, as none of those things exist.

7. Your rights under the Australian Privacy Principles

If you are in Australia, you may ask us for access to any personal information we hold about you, and you may ask us to correct it if it is wrong. In practice that will be correspondence you have sent us. Write to info@prospectnetwork.online and we will respond within 30 days. We do not charge for access requests.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal information or your request, tell us first so we have the chance to fix it. If that does not resolve matters, you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, which regulates privacy in Australia and can take complaints about how an organisation has handled personal information.

8. Notifiable data breaches

If a data breach occurred that was likely to result in serious harm to any individual whose personal information we hold, we would assess it promptly, notify the affected people and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as required by the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme, and tell you what happened and what to do about it.

9. Children

This site is written for adults making purchasing decisions and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16, and because the site has no forms, accounts or sign-ups, there is no mechanism through which a child could provide information to us other than by sending an email.

10. Changes to this policy

If the site changes in a way that affects this policy — if a cookie were ever set, if an analytics tool were ever added, if an external font or script were ever loaded — this policy and the cookie policy would be updated before that change went live, and the effective date at the top would change. We do not make changes retrospectively.

GERONTA SPOL s.r.o. is established in the Czech Republic, so the General Data Protection Regulation applies to our processing, as does the United Kingdom GDPR where it is engaged.

The legal basis we rely on is legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f): keeping a published website secure and operable, and responding to people who write to us. We do not rely on consent, because the site sets no cookies and uses no trackers — there is nothing to consent to. We do not carry out automated decision-making or profiling.

You have the right to request access to your personal data, rectification of inaccurate data, erasure, restriction of processing, portability where it applies, and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. Requests go to info@prospectnetwork.online and are answered within one month. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in the Czech Republic, the Office for Personal Data Protection (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů), or the authority in the country where you live or work.
