What we can and cannot tell you about Norton AntiVirus Plus
This is the one product on Prospect Network that we have a commercial relationship with. That is the reason it has a page, and this page is written so that you can see exactly where the limits of our knowledge are.

The links on this page to Norton AntiVirus Plus are paid affiliate links. If you follow one and take out a subscription with the vendor, Prospect Network receives a commission from the advertising network that manages the arrangement. We are not the vendor, we are not a reseller, and we cannot sell you anything or handle your account.
Why this product has a page and others do not
Prospect Network is funded by one advertising arrangement, and the product covered by that arrangement is Norton AntiVirus Plus. We think the honest way to handle that is to say so at the top, keep the commercial coverage on a single page, and keep it out of the guides entirely — which is why no guide on this site names a product, recommends one, or ranks anything.
The alternative, which is common in this category, is to publish a page called something like "top five antivirus picks for Australians" listing products in an order that happens to match the commission rates. We are not in a position to produce a ranking honestly: we do not run detection tests, we have no laboratory, and we have not used every product in the market for long enough to have a view worth printing. So we do not publish one.
What we are able to state
Very little, and we would rather be explicit about that than fill the page. Norton AntiVirus Plus is a commercially sold consumer security product. It is not published by us and has no connection to this site beyond the advertising arrangement described above. We have not been supplied with a product summary that we are able to quote, and we do not reproduce marketing copy as though it were our own assessment.
That means this page contains no feature list, no list of supported platforms, no prices in AUD, no subscription terms, no detection figures and no comparison against any other product. Anything of that kind that you read here would be us restating a vendor's page at second hand, with the errors that introduces and none of the vendor's obligation to keep it current.

How to read a vendor page without being rushed
Product pages in this category are well made and designed to move a reader towards a checkout. That is what they are for, and there is nothing wrong with it, but it is worth going in with a short list rather than reading top to bottom.
- Open the terms and the privacy policy in separate tabs before you look at the price. They answer the questions the sales page is not designed to.
- Find the renewal rate and write it down in AUD next to the first-term rate. If you cannot find it, that is itself information.
- Count the devices from your own list, then check which of them the licence actually covers in a way that is useful.
- Note any component you already pay for elsewhere — cloud storage, a password manager, a VPN — and discount the price accordingly in your own head.
- Check what happens to files held in any bundled backup after a subscription ends, before you move anything important into it.
- Take the time you need. A subscription available today is available tomorrow, and nothing on this page or the vendor's is a reason to rush the decision.
Your rights are the same however you arrive
Using our link, using a search result, or typing the vendor's address makes no difference to your position as a consumer. If you are in Australia, the consumer guarantees apply to the supply, the prohibition on misleading or deceptive conduct applies to what you were told, and the vendor's own refund policy operates alongside both rather than instead of them. One practical point specific to affiliate links: the commercial relationship is between Prospect Network and the advertising network, not between us and you. Your contract, your subscription, your support and any dispute are with the vendor. We cannot access your account, cancel a subscription on your behalf, or see whether you subscribed — we receive commission reporting, not customer information.
What would change this page
If the vendor or the advertising network supplies a product summary we are permitted to quote, we will publish it here as a quotation and attribute it, clearly separated from anything written by us. If the arrangement ends, we will say so on this page and remove the links rather than quietly leaving them in place. If we find that something on this page has become wrong, we will correct it here rather than in a note somewhere else, and the date at the foot of the page will change.
